Vows Poem by Melanie Walendowsky Baker

Vows

My heart skips
a beat again,
when all I wanted
was that it wouldn't.

The tender touches
I was reluctant to feel
have been embedded
in my senses.

All that I vowed
and swore I would shun
came back in a flash
- alas, it's begun.
