In another warm corridor,
I sit me down and wait,
Outside Room Number Six,
Will the Consultant today be late?
I had a Ten a.m. Appointment,
Eleven a.m. it is now,
I ask, 'When will I be seen? ' ~
As the Time does pass real slow.
After Seven years with Myasthenia,
My Body no longer controlled is,
More problems have I encountered.
Will the daily pain persist?
Excessive Pain, Pins and Needles,
Muscle Spasms and Shortness of Breath,
I dread the thought of going to bed.
To have more of the same when I awake.
Will the Solution to my problem be simple?
More Prayers for HIS Healing I need,
HE's listened in the past to my voice,
Will my cries to HIM quickly succeed?
The thought of the Future is daunting,
My Pain Threshold is not very high,
I inwardly let out my feelings,
As again ~ I ask myself ~ Why?
Many Problems in Life, I've encountered,
When hope of more work seems now near,
Should I be experiencing more symptoms?
~ A Painful long Life, ~ I now Fear.
HIS Healing will come when HE's ready,
I'm now waiting with patience and Faith,
Renewed again by the words of HIS Poetry,
Which HE'll send me when I am awake.
