Waiting For A Rose Poem by Ronald Chapman

Waiting For A Rose

It seems my whole life,
I've been waiting for,
For a rose to bloom,

Lonely seasons have come and gone,
My family and friends have moved on,

I'm waiting for a rose to bloom,
The years have been cold without seeing,
A bright red rose blossom,

Until!

I wake up on a bright June morning,
I look through my window and,
See a bright red rose sent from heaven,

It seems you were part of my heart,
You were part of my life,
You were always here,

I always looked,
At the wrong time of year.
