Waiting Line Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Waiting Line

Waiting line

Lower lip, thick and pink
She plays with finger
The right one for the ring

Long is line; men, women
Of all sorts, size-colors
Backgrounds and the faith

She's sitting like the Jew
Reading book in Hebrew

I am taught to take notes
"Then settle and convert."
"Write fiction or poems."
