Waking Dream - Original Version Poem by Alexander Romanov

Waking Dream - Original Version

In twilight's veil where shadows weep,
A waking dream begins to breathe,
Silent whispers secrets keep,
'Reveal your name, ' my heart's in grief.

The sun, a blaze in ashen sky,
Azure tears obscure my view,
Love's faint echo, mournful cry,
Haunts the night with shades of blue.

Head laid bare on ancient shelves,
Body lost in emerald seas,
Yearning climbs to heaven's realms,
Drowning in the moon's dark pleas.

'Forget, ' the cold, unyielding voice,
'Move along, let darkness part,
Hold no hate, relinquish choice,
Remember me with tender heart.'

Through spectral fog, I wander lone,
Chasing shadows of a name,
Lost within this twilight zone,
Flickering like a dying flame.

Where are you, whom do you hold?
Whispers laden with despair,
In the void, the night is cold,
Grasping memories threadbare.

What do I mourn beneath the stars,
What do I seek in endless night?
A nameless ghost with hidden scars,
Bound by dreams and fleeting light.

Canvas drenched in midnight's hue,
Vivid strokes of sorrow's art,
Every line a pain so true,
Every word a broken heart.

In this waking dream I roam,
Through the echoes of our past,
Seeking solace in the gloam,
Lost where memories last.
