A Journey Through Darkness Poem by Alexander Romanov

In the depths of despair, I find myself lost,
A feeling of sadness, my mind is the cost.
My heart is a void, my soul full of pain,
As I contemplate ending my life in vain.

The darkness engulfs me, a blackened abyss,
As I succumb to the shadows, consumed by this.
The demons within me, they gnash and they bite,
Whispering sweet nothings, as they extinguish the light.

The world is a prison, a torturous hell,
And I am a captive, under its spell.
The sorrow I feel, it's a never-ending ache,
As I long for release, to make my last mistake.

Oh, the allure of death, so seductive and sweet,
As I consider the blade, what would it complete?
To end this agony, this unending pain,
To take the final step, and forever remain.

But I know there is no escape, no respite,
The darkness has won, it's my only right.
The pain will never end, the suffering will remain,
And so I surrender to the eternal pain.

No hope remains, no light in sight,
As I give in to the endless night.
My life is over, my story complete,
As I fade away, consumed by defeat.

In the end, all that remains is emptiness,
A void of despair, a final caress.
And so I am lost, forevermore,
A victim of my own agony and gore.
