I have risen from the ashes of enslavement
And have now forged my very own path
Never to be trapped in anyone's shadow
Or to continuously suffer their wrath
For the world they tried to keep me in
Was filled with horror, slavery, and in disarray
That gave me nightmares night after night
And made me finally decide to walk away
They each learned their lesson the hard way
As they miserably watched me leave them behind
And tried persuading me to give them a pass
Which was something I angrily declined
But all of those dark times are gone now
I walk the light of freedom on my own
And will continue to go down that long favorable path
Even if I have to keep going alone
