The downs of my past keep calling and calling
Despite having convinced myself that they're all behind me
Leaving nothing but burn scars in the back of my mind
That enrage me from the inside to an unstable degree
But night and day I keep saying to myself:
'Stop wasting your time, with the downs of your past
And only look more at the ups from now on
For they'll give you the strength and the spirit that will last'
Thinking about the downs gets you nowhere in life
And provides no value for your well-being at all
The only thing that does is drain your energy
Which in the end will cause you to suffer and fall
Some may say it's difficult to forget
And although that is true, it doesn't mean you shouldn't try
By feeding your mind with noteworthy success
The kind that may cause you to happily cry
