Walk With You.. Poem by Priti Ruparel

Walk With You..

Walk with you, hold hands I won’t do….
brush my hands with yours
touch that still makes me tingle
I come nearer to you,
walk with you, hold hands I won’t do….
silence in the air, just the rustle of the leaves
wind blows his dark lock of hair
fingers ache to touch them through
Walk with you, hold hands I won’t do….
so long its been we didn’t talk
Years rolled by but no word out
Love lost somewhere
Together we walk looking elsewhere
Naive we think each is
Knowing Love is there
one step you take one step so do I
embark on a journey again
discover each other again
on a clean slate, find Love
but here we are walking
Walk with you, hold hands I won’t do….
walk so close I take in your scent
move back to past for one moment
smile escapes from lips, eyes close to savour the memory
a stone then tripped me
reality struck and opened my eyes
hold did he but I was wrong
alone I am on the ground
knees scraped, palms bruised
he walked away not looking back
along came someone close to him
no space between them, hold hands they did
turned she to me, and..I see me
my soul still walks with him
I may be here and he may be there
but someday I hope we meet somewhere
where sand is sun kissed white
blue is the water with diamonds sparkling on waves
Someday we will meet again..
someday we will meet again…
Walk with you, hold hands will I do? ?

So many kinds of love. No one is the best and none are wrong. Thanks for sharing, Priti Peace
