Walking At Night Poem by Daniel Miltz

Walking At Night

Strange visions of beauty around
The glorious scenes that unfold
Of dazzling splendors, all surround
When walking the night streets, behold

Time to time, on an avenue
Faintly, silhouette expressions
Of other lonely people who
Threatened by your luminescence

And no doubt, as you are by theirs
Where art'ficial light erases
Difference night and day compares
In all the somber light places

For it be, the lonely darkness
Making ye' disoriented
In city, at dead of nightness
Specially, if tired, demented

From aptly roaming its borough
Tis' not quite, the same as googling
Image on empty street circle
No longer, fighting, wandering

Solitaire pedestrian's feet
Begin recall, real earth show
In city internal concrete
Night time, daylight, dispossessed flow

Who walks alone, roads at darkness
Up lightless hills and shadow street
The sad, mad, and all the homeless
The lost, tossed, and all the downbeat

All city internal oppressed
Night has always been different
Time for the daylight's dispossessed...
The time for daylight's dissident

Walking at night, in the city
Has been interpret as invite
Susp'cion, moral, social gritty
Solitaire people walk the night
