Wall Poem by Serene Music Art

Wall

Rating: 5.0

She was once hurt,
She saw her loved ones break,
Cheated upon,
Cuts fresh from razor blades,
Before her very eyes.

These were bricks,
Bricks used to build her wall,
A wall that would protect her,
And her fragile heart,
From the pain.

The wall was too tall,
She forgotten how the other side;
looked like, and felt like,
Her heart was numb.
But at least she was safe.

One day a person came along,
Amazed her in ways others didn't,
He awakened her heart,
She felt a yearning,
For a feeling that was now foreign.

The wall was too sturdy.
She couldn't remember,
How to love and be loved in return,
She was too comfortable,
In her current state.

He waited for her,
The clock ticks and ticks,
Until he could take it no longer,
She stood there as he left,
Adding another brick..

Broken heart is amazingly presented with emotion. Being cheated or broken by someone else is painful and this provokes thought. When love returns back again life becomes cheerful. This is a brilliant poem...10...Welcome to PoemHunter.
