Wall Holland Poem by Mason Maestro

Wall Holland

Sea cliff and wall
Breaking waves crash from a thousand mile oceanic squall
Part for a hold
Brushing the landscape a mark of a lifeline unfolds
Low and flooded mound
Down below the sea level row a polder marshy ground
Chartered insignia
Conquer the narrows, the company of Dutch West India
Raised, strengthen and fade
A wall that would usher in markets for traffic and trade
