You know, the, Denis, this poem is so reminiscent of Virgil's later Eclogues, the rural retreat, the subtle movements of time and a beautiful serenity as Time appears sometimes to be motionless. It is a very fine poem and I shall be glad to place it among my favourites for further contemplation. The detailed notes are very much appreciated.
