Wanting Poem by Ray Hansell

Wanting

Inside a cold dark room
Snuggled under the covers
Wishing I was warmed
By a soft and gentle lover

Someone to hold real close
On a deep dark winter night
Someone here to tell me
Everything will be alright

Someone who'll whisper in my ear
Someone to tell me true
Someone to say that I
Am so in love with you

But, I won't hear those words tonight
Because I'm lying here all alone
No one here to hold me
To make me feel I'm home
