War And Peace Poem by Prafulla Kumar Panda

War And Peace

War is the blizzard, an unceasing storm
A bane to mankind, an eternal burn
With every drop of bomb frustrations rise
A loss of life and property beyond surmise

A heart filled with ego and hatred wages war
Shoos the bird of peace to fly far
A mind clouded by the spell of confusion
Never relies on peace for hearts' eternal fusion

Unlike war peace is calm with a steady voice
And firm as the lighthouse, an abiding choice
A flow of Ganga, a hope, an eternal solution
To our blazing anger, jealousy, a source of regeneration

Let not wailings of mothers deafen our ears
And the heaven to rue and shed tears
Over mankind, His best, and the finest of creation
Who kills His brethren for personal greed and gain

Only fools go for war and the wise avoids
Let mankind live in peace, be ever blessed.
