Have you ever walked in the warm spring rain?
For your soggy shoes complete disdain.
Watching water run down the gutter, to the drain,
To the drain.
Has the rain caught you walking down the street,
As you wave to people you chance to meet?
Wishing the rain would never quit,
Would never quit.
Have you turned your eyes to heaven on high,
And praised the lord for the dark grey sky?
your soul so happy your eyes did cry,
Your eyes did cry.
And your tears were one, with the warm spring rain,
As the rain pelted your head without disdain.
Then down the gutter to the drain,
Cleansing the city leaving no stains.
Leaving no stains.
