Warming Greenland: A Warning Poem by Richard St. Clair

Warming Greenland: A Warning

Will Greenland be a "green land" by some day?
Will there be any humans to live on it?
The forecast for our world is nigh demonic,
As a heating climate grows without delay.
Yea, in advance I weep for this humanity,
Who live in gross denial and distracted
By conflicts here and there, and on them acted
To foster misery worldwide: such insanity.
A new world order based on love is needed,
Else truly there is no hope for mankind;
The Universal Declaration signed
For Human Rights of everyone must be heeded.
Hearken to these words of direst warning,
Or there will be no hope for a happy morning
