Warning Poem by Terry Cooper

Warning

Rating: 0.5

I did not fall, I did not break
It only gave my heart a shake
I thought I saw
(I think I did)
A mother fighting with her kid

It flipped me out,
it really did

She needs to know
It won't be long
Until her child is long gone

They do that fast
before you know
the damage you've done
before they go.

So mothers please
and fathers too
Watch what you say
And what you do

For you won't get another chance
A do-over, another dance
With little lives
With great big dreams
Don't leave them with
The sound of screams.
