I look into the mirror and see a storm in my eyes
did you see it, too, when I was angry with you?

for a while I believed that we were going to make it
but we are sinking in this ship, and in a way I guess I always knew...

we would say goodbye someday
and our little hopes and dreams would melt away
as waves of memories come crashing over us
I wonder what you whisper:
was it ever love?

we are both silenced as we drown in the merciless currents
so we will never know the truth
was it ever love?
