Wash Wash Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Wash Wash

Wash, wash

It must rain
To relieve pain
The scorching heat
And no place to sit

We need it
The earth wants to feed
The needed energy
But without being rainy wet?

So let it was an earth belt?
For fragrance to be smelt
With wind blow
And rain's power show

How can turn dark clouds?
And make loud sound
As if to threaten mankind
And make them blind

The lightening is dangerous
The sky becomes thunderous
With electricity bursting
And blasting

So it is respite
And delight
To human beings
To remain calm and sing
