Wasted Life Poem by Mary Joy Lumanog

Wasted Life

Life in the past I have wasted..
Thinking how much I had took it forgranted...

If I did what I did..what I did before..
Maybe now I'm not the one...
Begging the clock to go back...
Tears that won't last...
How much waste I've done in the past...

How can I swim the water of an uncertain abyss...
It seems like forever to reach...
To work out what was messed...
Regret consumes me..
It seems like hard steel that covers me...

What now? what now?
Can I still mend my present life...
It seems like its the benefit of the doubt...
God how much I would like to take off..
This regrets I feel...for today I want no more tears
Just to make my life full of cheers!

As you rise from the haunting beget by despair's shadow, so will your life touch the beauty of blossom to shimmer with stars.
