Watch Where You Walk Poem by Dorsey Baker

Watch Where You Walk

You walk
waist deep into
a field full
of grass

packed with deadly snakes

and you are

foolish enough to think

you won't get bitten before
you reach your destination
so many snakes
you will come across
on the road
to your destination

and if
you come upon

one of these deadly snakes
and he decides

he wants to bite you!

you cannot back away
you've got to

put him to death!
