Watchtower - Poem by Dorsey Baker

The watchtower
it is looking out
upon the rough waters
where a high wind
is blowing hard
The watchtower
is looking out
over the waters deep
always alert
it never needs to sleep
you don't have to
be afraid
because the watchtower is watching
its watching you
its watching me
but it don't need no ears to hear
and it don't need no eyes to see
