Water: A Small Message Poem by Aaryan Irani

Water: A Small Message

Hark in thine ear,
Gaia's plea;
a drop in the seven seas:
value of silver it be.
Stars, trees, beasts lie;
in this blessed drop,
which falls from the sky
For life is water
and water is life

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Today we had Mrs Bhairavi Parekh (Author of 'The water catchers') speak to us in school, where she talked about her book and the problems concerning sufficient water supply for almost everything. At the end of the class she asked us to write a punch line for saving water, but i couldn't think of an original slogan, so i thought of writing this very short poem
