Water Of The Brook Poem by james watkin

Water Of The Brook

Water of the brook
Throwing up mayfly and midge
Old and weary suddenly
Under granite bridge.

As visible skipped
The clean-frocked, a countryside.
And as apathetic turned
Spurned of friendship's guide.
