Theme: ‘Breastfeeding and work, let’s make it work’
If women don’t breastfeed children,
Then precious lives could well get lost;
If women can’t breastfeed each child,
Incalculable could be cost.
If women should breastfeed children,
Conducive should be home/workplace;
If women must breastfeed each child,
They need the time, good health as base.
If women nurse children and work,
Their right to breastfeed needs support;
If women must work and breastfeed,
Employers must their problems sort.
If breast-milk’s baby’s food, the best,
Let women give it with all love;
If babies drink breast-milk, truly,
The world becomes like heav’n above.
If children must be healthier, then,
The human breasts must milk express;
If womanhood must be complete,
‘The mother-child bond’ – don’t repress.
If right of child to breast-milk’s right,
Let women breastfeed and be sane;
God made all mama’s with mammae,
To breastfeed children, be humane.
