We All Need Humor Poem by Ray Hansell

We All Need Humor

Humor in the dictionary says,
Mood or state of mind
That doesn't mean now and then
I think it means all the time

You better have a sense of humor
As you walk through this life
Because I'm telling you if you don't
Life, will carve you up like a knife

Taking life too seriously
Will take it's toll on you
Sometimes just a good laugh
Is all we need to do

Most times the best laugh
That you'll ever do
Will be when you know
That the laugh is on you

So, show a sense of humor
Don't always be serious
Never laughing or joking around
Could lead to weariness

So, do yourself a favor
Lighten it up a bit
Cause when you get down to it
Life itself is just skit
