We Appease Ourselves With Crap From Shelves Poem by Terence George Craddock

We Appease Ourselves With Crap From Shelves

Rating: 5.0

beware distortion reflection mirrors
when living in a world of illusions
materialism sells materialistic ideals

which supposedly instantly bestow
paradise happiness contentment not woe
new possessions set our lives aglow

but sadly new possessions wither with time
computers crash new gets covered in grime
designed to break toys chime in their prime

are we trapped living in a world of pricy illusions?
is gadget life mass confusion with no cheap solutions?
need we appease ourselves with crap from shelves?
