We Are Alone Together Poem by Lavigne Kin

We Are Alone Together

When I cry I'm all alone with no one to wipe my tears away. My sorrow rambles violently in my soul the damage lie unseen and ignored. The many voices are left unspoken yet none notice the painful silence in which we reside. We veil our intentions along with our desires to flee from rational thought but we expect others to bare their souls along with facing rationality stoically. Faith and hope sustain us nonetheless we renounce a sacred presence that is blatantly all around glaring us directly and unwaveringly in the face yet we dare spit on it and still claim to believe in the sacred. My broken spirit barely clinging to life albeit aimless and unguided no hope or light to lead me. Love is not even a dream to me logic dictates that it won't happen to me nor others like me. Facing life would be impossible without others around that care as well as love me. Hate is short lived however it is still not to be taken lightly, without it one is "free" if anything.
