We Are Only Human Poem by Francis Duggan

We Are Only Human

It takes all sorts of people to make up human kind
But in the worst type of person some good you will find
What is known as the flawed gene it is in us all
On the journey of life there's many the pitfall,
The praises of great individuals we sing
But a perfect race there is no such a thing
The near perfect people in them have some flaw
Perfection is not part of natural law
Yet many good people or should I say great
That the masses out there never do celebrate
People who work for the poor without financial gain
Their praises we should sing again and again
But a perfect person I do not know of one
We are only human when all is said and done.
