We Are Same Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

We Are Same

Rating: 5.0

We are same

I laugh when watching them
Roll their eyes, fallen jaws
When seeing me go to
Visit the "First Nations."

They act as rat in jar
Unaware, and slide
When try to get out.

Do not know of my past
Cultures of Iranians…
(A Nation divided
By the walls and borders
Draw by Europeans!)

By being the Tajik
Intending to visit
A fallen, old or sick
The culture demands to
"Take along something to
Present it as gift."

Similar we are then
With local Indigenous:
"When meeting elderly
Take along something to
Present; then ask, seek."

Cultural traditions bind you with your native land and people and they reflect mutual respect and care in their observance. Politicians of another region have no regard for such courtesies. Thanks.

Yes dear, that is how it is, we are culturally the same, fortunately, but divided by politicians, sadly.
