RIC S. BASTASA

We Are The Poets, The Miners Of Gold - Poem by RIC S. BASTASA

we go deeper
into
a long tunnel
we look like
miners
with lights in
our foreheads
we are looking
for nuggets
of gold
it is damp and
cold and dark
there and
we may die
there
when the earth
caves us
in
we can be eaten
with what we
are feeding.
