We Have Tradition Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

We Have Tradition

Rating: 4.0

I shall not be imprisoned
Kept in file with no reason
I shall hate to be confined
On pages of book really defined

I am earthly person
Leading life with reasons
The work must speak in volumes
Life flowers spreading fragrance

Why people should find me in book?
When they have found me among them and looked
I am simple loving man
Just made of clay and human

We have tradition of cremating body
The ceremony is witnessed by everybody
I wish the ash to be collected and dispersed
In open field with seeds and composed

That shall be meaningful
As it may bring out yield plentiful
I shall be one of the grain particles
As product of memorable struggle
