We Look At Future Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I said “yes”
She said “no” on face
We were always at disagreement
Point of no compromise at given point

Anyhow that is life and goes on
Sometimes with plus or minus points it has gone
But it always ended with happy smile
She may relent and say nothing for a while

I will take care and note down
Her wishes and likes were always known
I may go after her and tease to incite
She will understand it but will surely excite

She may throw anything that comes in hand
Only the thing she must have aggressive trend
She will catch utensils and throw at me
As if everything was coming to me as target free

She may calm down with no response from my side
We were one internally but had opinion to divide
She may voluntarily submit to whatever I say
I shall have to remain submissive and calmly stay

It may have no relevance from poetry point of view
But quite enjoyable part in the life of fortunate few
It enhances love in natural way and accommodates
Divergent view but at the same time happily states

I love to be her life time partner
It was earnest desire on part of her
I have done exceedingly well
She has her on own story to tell

We look future very closely
It has to be spent happily
Why can’t it be made heaven on earth?
When life is to be taken over any time by death?
