We Need A Mosquito At Our Ears Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

We Need A Mosquito At Our Ears

We Need a Mosquito At Our Ears
There must be
Its ever-increasing humdrum to haunt us
The laws
The parliaments
All that institution be
These
The above-mentioned Offspring of Power
Children of that which to corrupt propense
We need
Increasing humdrum of the mosquitoes chiding us
We
People
As we sail the ships of Politics
And Power:
Humdrum mosquitoes bring us to our senses
Hum drumming all the times in all our ears:
That must be:
There crocodiles angry turning
Red
Red with red eyes
Yet
The ever drumming of the mosquitoes more shall
To keep on toes.
