We Need To Breathe Together Poem by Dan Caliolio

We Need To Breathe Together

I watch the sunset rush down
from your overflowing tears.
asking for empathy and distance to break
the grasp of our oath.

Gulping all of the intoxicated alchohol
from all the screams you delivered.I killed the gate.

I'm right at the spot,
and she's time traveling back to our past.
living the moment of broken hearts and
the fallen angel alone.

Your screams still in my head.
Your tears still blotted down my tee.
We murdered the connection to pleade on our knees.
And i buried away the musical notes
that reminded me of the caustic nightmare.

Gulp all the toxins, let me hear all the screams you gave.
I killed the gate.
