We'Re Closer Than You Think Poem by Kelsey Joe

We'Re Closer Than You Think

We’re closer than you think,
We both have lives that sink.
We’re closer than you see,
We both can lie and breathe.

We have more in common than said,
We both cry in our beds.
We both have the same lives,
Its weird how time flies by.

You wouldn’t believe our souls,
How they both match with piercing poles.
Stabbing our hearts, giving us the strength
To grab something sharp and go to great lengths.

We have each-other to keep alive,
While you think we might commit suicide.
You won’t believe what we do
That’s exactly the same and it’s you that we fool.

We did not realize it until now,
But we found out without sound.
It was our friendship waves,
The signals came to each-other’s brains,
And we knew in an instant that we were close,
Closer than you could get a dose.

We cut, we bleed, and crying,
You wouldn’t understand our dying.
You couldn’t believe how close we are,
If you do, you won’t like it,
Because we are too far.
