We're Equal, We Are Equal Poem by Hebert Logerie

We're Equal, We Are Equal

We are equal when we are skinless
We are the same when we're powerless
When we are unhealthy
When we are not wealthy
We see life the same way
And we're afraid to part way.

We are equal when we have no money
When we don't have a beautiful honey
We're equal when we are suffering
We're equal when we are praying
We're equal when we laugh and cry
We're equal when we suffer and die.

Look around, nobody owes what we're seeing
Think deep, brothers and sisters, we own nothing
Whatever we're looking at, we shall leave behind
It's sad that we'll leave absolutely everything behind
We don't even possess our skin. We have no power
We are nobody. Everything belongs to the Creator.

We are the same when we are skinless
We are equal when we're powerless.
