When as a child, we waste much food and drink,
While children world across just starve and die,
How many suffer from food's lack and sink!
We're mostly wasters all; we're wasters all.
When as adults we dress up lavishly,
And squander wealth in umptine ways all life,
Some can't afford a meal or clothe barely,
We're mostly wasters all; we're wasters all.
When older aged, we cannot eat or groom,
And yet, we try to don in raiment rich,
While naked human beings can't find room,
We're mostly wasters all; we're wasters all.
What wealth some ones can stock and stack and pile!
How excess food is thrown as if garbage!
Has mankind turned heartless and filled with bile?
We're mostly wasters all; we're wasters all.
But earth has enough food and wealth for all!
A few are richer than some nations found;
To share our excess is God's clarion call.
We're mostly wasters all; we're wasters all.
