Met
Adam,
A madam
In life, this day,
to live in God’s way.
God gave a gift – girl-child
Who was their lamb, so mild;
A shimmering pearl, blissful,
Now grown-up lady, beautiful;
Many years passed by quite pleasantly,
The family trod the road most happily;
Praising and thanking Savior Christ Jesus Lord,
Living as per the Holy Bible’s Living Word;
Life brought them trials, temptations of all kinds;
Their faith in God and piety still binds
Them in everything, they plan to do,
Christ-centred, keeping off all vice,
The grace of heav’n keeps them wise;
The narrow road is tough;
The clime at times, rough;
All things, they did
As God bid,
With hope,
Yet,
The peace,
Smiles on face
Elude at times;
Under stressful climes;
As age advances fast,
And memories sad of the past,
Disturb their walk behind the cross;
And makes all forget that Christ is Boss;
Still, they trudge on with stronger faith, more hope,
In life’s every strife, trials, travails, they cope;
Athirst for living water that can quench their thirst
Eternally, from the Fountain of Life – Jesus Christ!
