We Re-Incarnate As Lovers Again Or Swaping Souls In Scent Poem by Eli Spivakovsky

We Re-Incarnate As Lovers Again Or Swaping Souls In Scent

angelica
hidden
under pillow-cases
your
scent
tilts *
the air

i open my
body
before you
and you adorn and anoint me
i am made
adorable
your love leaves vibrations
my toes shiver
soft cloths
velvet
and silken threads
crushed on a spinning wheel
a silken blouse
owned by my great-grandmother
is returned
Intriguing, beguiling
i taste
the pyramid of your lips
and you
pretend to be another
diamonds search your eyes
and find
a deposit of sparkle
then gather
the sparks to its pupils
and you find another way to my lips
I give of my
body
and
sweet-smelling perfumes
are opened
a box of sapphires
is
lodged between our walls
we leave it there
and the room belongs to 'them' again (to us again)
(the same house and why we love it)

We are the re-incarnation *
of our
lost lovers
and i find you again
as you were then
the
scent
pulls on us
from another
time
I go with him, you go with her
when we are playing
the 'old lovers game'
and i am dissolved in angelico to help me remember
and we
guess-about with our favourite smelling-sweet
bringing back
the dream *
magic-powdered on shot-silk
and
released
until we are cheating on ourselves
until we are each other's paramour *
