We turn colors before we die,
like the leaves, like the sky
like the sunset when it rises
it's colors bloom; so do ours
all in black and then we fade
kandis glitter on our graves
black and white; purple and orange
we write our poetry in colors
we write our poetry in flowers
our words glitter on our graves
it's our pain in glitter paint,
it's our torture in glitter letters
but does it ever get better?
It gets brighter, it looks better
before we die it turns colors, it gets lighter
the leaves fall down, the sun fades out
where are those bright colors now?
Glowsticks on our graves
turn the flower petals gray
We've searched for colors, we've searched for life
and ended up dying
after all, there are so many colors at night
and you can't see the pain under the florescent lights
until it's too late; Oh, we find the colors as we're dying
back and forth, dim and bright
we relive the same things in our lives
we see the colors flash before our eyes
but the colors don't stay to keep us alive
the little birds just spread their wings and fly
they brighten our existence for just a second of time;
we turn to colors and then we die.
