I hurt you bad
Like the long list of others
You knew what I was like
But you fell for it anyway
You don't seem so sad
Though I crushed your heart
And broke your pride
I made you the ball in my silly game
The whispers follow us
Wherever we go
Some more true than others
I try to remember
We were never supposed to be lovers
