We who have known Poem by Milo De Angelis

We who have known

We who have known
the heart of each day and the heart that never ages,
the idea that lights up the flesh,
the wisdom of measures
and the lightning, we leave each other
here, in two metres of cement, by showing
up, a summer heart-throb,
a case of mistaken identity.
