We Will Rise Up Poem by Kelvin Gathiru

We Will Rise Up

Even though we appear pale and feeble,
We will emerge from the dust and rubble,
Learn to be self-sufficient and sustainable,
Enjoy as we turn down the tides of trouble,
And make ourselves acceptable 'n' presentable.

They hate us but we will remain amiable,
Treating us like fools when we are affable,
They consider themselves as irreplaceable,
By making us sad, broke and miserable,
They don't think that we can be lovable.

I believe that one day we will be valuable,
We will make our enemies feel terrible,
By showing them that we are capable,
Of doing what they thought was impossible,
We will regain our strength and be invincible.
