Wealthy In Another Way Poem by Francis Duggan

Wealthy In Another Way

Rating: 4.5

Though life to them is not in any way fair
The people who laugh in the face of despair
Are people that i for one can only admire
And of singing their praises i never could tire
Though they have endured years of financial pain
Of how hard life is on them they never complain
And despite all of this hope in them far from dead
They visualize better days of them ahead
Unlike the many social climbers of the town
They never aspire to great wealth and renown
It is never hard to bring joy to their day
Just a small raise for them in their weekly take home pay
Though financally poor of them one can say
That they are quite wealthy in another way.
