Wedding Night Candles - Poem by john tiong chunghoo

my language, i wish it flows
a dawn glass of whisky
so light and gently gold
as the morning sun
on the heart and sight

my vocabulary, i wish
each comes away
a shade of a priceless
gemstone that keeps
my passion for life burning
like wedding night candles
