Weep Not Child! Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Weep Not Child!

Weep not child!
Keep the truth in your heart;
To sweep and to clean the room,
To humble yourself like a sheep,
Learning to creep along like an insect;
Streep, steep!
Like the steep of this mountain ahead of you.
Qeep, threep, queep!
With the muse of someone driving a Jeep;
And like one who leaves a message after a beep.
Meep, peep!
To creep along,
Deep in the forest of love;
A lovely sheep seen around,
Weep not child!
To sleep and to dream at night.
