Weep Not For Me Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Weep Not For Me

Rating: 5.0

Weep not for me, dear brother, weep not
For I weep not even for myself
Cos I have moved on to higher grounds

Weep not for me, good friends, weep not
For I am not where you think I am
Cos I have moved to higher grounds

Weep not for me, haters weep not
For where you thought you placed me I am not
Cos I have moved on to higher grounds

Weep not for me, my adversaries, weep not
For your strategies worked for you, not for me
Cos I now roam in bliss on higher grounds

Weep not for me thou enemy, weep not
Your tears are concealed current of joy
I outsmarted the evil plans of yours

Those who sought our Christ in the grave
Misunderstood the teachings of the Master
Cos He has risen in glory, weep not.

Lovely poem.....Reminds me the poem of Mary Elizabeth Frye -Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there; I do not sleep. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die.
