Weeping Poem by soren Barrett

Weeping

A tree grieves, dewdrops fall from leaves fallen rainbows
bent the boughs in mourning bows as morning grows
heart of pith swells, from silent flowing wells drops of pain
remorse pours out of pores of open wooden sores as rain

grey sky closes its eye in misty break of day
cloud covers hide past lovers now so far away
sunlight lost is the cost a rooted tree must pay
when no steps from shade can be made, the price decay
